A 17th-century farmhouse gets a makeover

It took landscape architect Miranda Brooks and her husband, French-born architect Bastien Halard over 16 years to find Catswood, the 17th-century farmhouse in the Cotswolds. Once part of a dairy farm filled with ruined buildings, old silos and barbed wire everywhere, the very damp farmhouse was restored from scratch into a cosy English countryside home in shades of soft grays, pinks, and ivories, filled with chintz and wicker and old tiled floors, washed panelled walls and plaster…
