The original Royal Exchange in London was opened in 1571, for the purpose of trading stocks and then, later, for retail as well. It would be rebuilt three times in total, with the last being in 1844, which is the incarnation that houses Royal Exchange Grind is an espresso bar by day and cocktail bar by night.
