THE NEW YORK TIMES featured a great article on American director James Ivory’s early 19th-century mansion on the Hudson. The 19-room 1805 home sits on 12 acres of land in the Hudson Valley. Designed by the French architect Pierre Pharoux for Jacob Rutsen Van Rensselaer, Ivory bought the home in 1975 and spent four decades lovingly restoring the place.
